River Safety and River Rescue
Don is approved by the New Zealand Recreational
Canoeing Association to run the River Safety and the River Rescue
courses.

River Safety
This course teaches about quick response to water
emergencies that could happen anywhere, anytime.
You don't have to be a great paddler to benefit
from a River Safety course. A trained victim will get him or herself
rescued more quickly, and more safely, if they know how to assist
their rescuer. The rescuer will be safer as well. A River Safety
course is also good training for people who are starting to lead
their own trips, or be responsible for less-skilled paddlers on
the river. Become a better buddy.

River Rescue
River rescue is more about heavy-duty retrieval.

rope techniques, to enable equipment and people recovery in the
worst case scenario.
